Summer Reading

Summers are such a wonderful time to go on adventures!  I was fortunate enough to go on a camping trip a few weeks ago.  I was awed by the sheer quantity of life found in the forest – insects, birds, fish, plants, mammals – each with its own lifecycle – each playing a role in the ecosystem surrounding the lake.  The trip reminded me how remarkable nature is, how much I enjoy learning (and sharing what I have learned), and how much I have to learn!

When we returned, I visited the Chandler Public Library.  This summer the library has a wonderful reading program, “Dig into Reading.”  Each child enrolled can earn a free book!  My girls have already earned their first “prize” (including coupons to Chipotle…yum!), but more importantly the program is encouraging them to read!  If you are in the area this summer, I would encourage your family to check it out!
I hope you are finding wonderful opportunities this summer too!

Warmly,
Ms. Norris
